Abbey Monreal (she/her) is a composer/arranger from Milwaukee, WI. She is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a Bachelors of Music Education-Choral and a Certificate in Fine Arts Administration. While at UW-Eau Claire, she also studied composition and has had opportunities to orchestrate for the cabaret show on campus.

 

Abbey's works have been performed in a variety of settings, including her piece "Water Music" which was selected to be performed at the Women Composers Festival of Hartford, Connecticut in 2017. Additional awards her compositions have earned include first place in the 2020 MC3 Emerging Composers Competition and 2nd Place in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Emerging Composers Competition- Choral Division. Abbey has experience arranging for contemporary a capella groups, mixed choir, treble choir, cabaret shows (vocal and instrumental), and several instrumental chamber ensembles.
