The Challenge of Hope
"The Challenge of Hope" is an SSAA contemporary choral piece based off of a poem by Abbey Monreal. This piece came in second in the choral category of WSMA's Student Composition Project in 2016.
Dreaming in Color
"Dreaming in Color is a piano solo that tells a story about following one's dreams and the setbacks that such a lifestyle can hold. This is a great piece for a student to work on!
Water Music

"Water Music" is an SSA piece that mimics sounds of water and nature with text by Robert Creely. This piece was selected for a score call in the Women's Composers Festival of Hartford.
Cyri Theme

This piece is inspired by a scene from a play by J.D. Atkins which is based off of the original play Cyrano de Bergerac. Consisting of a piano and cello, the theme tells the tale of friendship and ultimately loss.

These are the first two pieces in my song cycle The Power of Choice for Soprano with piano accompaniment. The third is soon to come! This song cycle tells the story of the many choices one must make in life and the power and strength it takes to go on.
Daring Greatly
"Daring Greatly" is a piece for SSAA choir with two soloists. This piece uses quotes by Brené Brown to inspire young singers to take risks and live authentically. Additionally, this piece features many aleatoric elements and elements of non-traditional notation. Originally performed by the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire's Women's Concert Chorale.
